Since it's been 3 months since I last posted anything.. here I go......

A few things have been going on with us recently. We found out we are having a baby. A bit of a surprise for sure. We are all getting used to the idea of a 3rd Cole running around.. but we are all excited for sure. The baby is due December 11th.. so I'll have a birthday buddy in December! Yeah!

We've been working on our yard, catching up from slacking off last year. Fixing fence, moving animals from our pasture to the new one we set up, t-ball season has come and gone and planning and planting our garden.

Zane is really starting to talk and that has been so much fun. He LOVES cows and whenever I pull in at night, that is their time to get water.. so we have to stop when we pull in the driveway and talk to the cows. He has a favorite and we named her Ferdie. He LOVES stories about Ferdie and their adventures. They always end up at the Fair every story and always win the blue ribbon for the most BEAUTIFUL cow at the fair. He loves this.

Logan started riding his bike with no training wheels a couple months ago and hasn't stopped riding. We spend alot of time riding our bikes now.. which is great for me! Next thing on his list is learning to ride his 50.. so we'll be working on that next month I think. Makes mom nervous, but I knew this day would come.

I've been trying to think of names for the baby and it's been really hard this time. I'm really stuck on a girl name :o) but know I need to be prepared for another dirty boy.. which really would be just fine. I do love my boys. So any suggestions would be great! One that we are thinking about right now is Quinn Alexandra.. What do you think? Tell the truth.. :o)

I kinda forgot about my blog. Sorry! Life for the Cole's has been busy! The winter months for me are time to hibernate.. I tend to want to stay home and hang with the family and just be. After the hustle and bustle of summer and hunting season.. winter means family time and relaxing. I guess it's fitting that as spring approaches.. here I am. Back out in the world.

So here are somethings that are coming up and going on with us:

Jeremy is teaming up with one of Logan's buddies dads to coach t-ball this spring. I'm not sure how he really feels about this.. but Logan is really excited. He's been bragging to all his friends that HIS dad is gonna be the coach.

We finally broke down and bought a new computer. I've been putting this off for about 2 years.. I don't know why. Sometimes the little things really stress me out.. buying a new computer was stressing me out. But we did it.. and I love it.

My parents bought a motorhome. This cracks me up. I can't wait to take pictures and spend some serious camping time with the parentals.

I decided not to ride with the drill team this year. Jeremy and I decided together that we really need to slow down. We try to do so much.. and in turn, miss out. We have no obligations this spring and summer. Our schedule is wide open. I only have one goal.. I want an arbor that covers my patio and a tan. I want to get up on Saturday morning and not have to be somewhere.. or just decides.. let's go camping! Or let's stay home and play outside.

Goodbye Summer... Welcome Fall!

This summer, has been the busiest summer EVER for our family. Every weekend and almost every weeknight this summer has been booked! I am LONGING for the cold, blustery days & nights of fall and winter.. not only because I love them.. but because that will make us STAY HOME!

I will miss those family quad rides down to the river with the neighbors and the spur of the moment bbq's with everyone. I'll miss the evenings of haying and then the BIG dinner afterwards. I like to eat can you tell? I'll miss hearing the screaming and hysterical laughing coming from Logan when he's playing outside till midnight with his BFF's. I'll miss getting our blankets and going out in the backyard to lay down on summer nights and looking up at the stars with Logan. I love summer.. but I am SO ready for fall.

Fall for us brings Logan's birthday. He turned 4 this year. His birthday is September 11th or Patriot Day. This was the first year that we discussed what that means. We were heading up to the Puyallup (tradition for us on his b-day) and when we drove under the Freedom Bridge by Fort Lewis, Logan asked why there were yellow ribbons and flags all over the bridge. So Jeremy and I told him the story. He was very interested and very proud that that was his birthday.

It also brings Zane's birthday (October 17th), Jeremy's birthday (October 5th), Lisa's wedding (FINALLY!!!) on the 17th, hunting season (which already started btw). It also brings FOOTBALL season, which I love. I don't know why this started.. maybe because I have 2 boys? I'm not sure. But I think it started when I was pregnant with Logan. I became a die hard football fanatic. I get so excited for Sunday. I plan my whole weekends around the games. I can't wait for my boys to be Little T-Birds. I'm gonna be that crazy mom who dresses in green and gold with the picture buttons on her coat screaming on the side lines.

Fall means getting out my sweaters and coats. There are 3 things I'm obsessed with: 1) Jeans 2) Coats 3) Shoes. It's like Christmas for me. "OH! Look at this one!" Oh I LOVE this Coat!" I'm just dying for a cold day to where my boots, jeans and a warm comfy sweater.

Fall also means a lot of alone time for me. Jeremy spends October and November hunting. When he is home, his mind is else where. I try to plan things to do with Logan, and now with both boys.. Mommy and the boys time. I try to get projects done that normally I would push off for 'later', which never comes. Hopefully this year I can get that dreaded painting finished. We moved into our house almost 6 years ago, and I still haven't finished painting the interior trim and doors. Trust me, I will not ever pick white trim in my house ever again. GRRR.

4 years ago I became a mother. Something that was frightening yet at the same time exciting. I always knew that I would be a mom, it's something that I have wanted more than anything. I remember being scared and overwhelmed by this little squishy blob that NEEDED me for everything.. He needed me to feed him, change his dirty diapers, give him medicine when his teeth hurt and to LOVE him. It's hard to imagine that 4 years ago I acheived one of my ultimate dreams. Thank you Logan for picking me! I love you sweet baby boy!

For the past 2 years we've gone to 'Uncle Tim's".. so funny thing is I actually have 2 uncle Tim's, but THIS Uncle Tim is actually no relation to us. He is our good friends' brother. Anyway, we went camping at his place and here are some picts from the weekend.

Boy the last 2 weeks have been a whirl wind. I went to Reno with the Drill Team to a drill competition at the Reno Rodeo (which we took 2nd btw), then 2 days after getting home, turned around and left for Kennewick for Jeremy's horse stuff, Washington State Posse Convention. So last night after I had put Zane down to bed, and Logan and were snuggling laying in bed.. (cause I sleep with both my kids.. but that's a whole other subject) Logan looks up at me and says, "Mom, will you do me a favor?" I said, "Logan you really need to be quiet and go to sleep. What do you want?" Logan says, "Will you do me a favor please?" I say, "Ok, what is it?" "Will you get up, go in the kitchen get your white bowl and make me cookies, so I can eat them right when I get up in the morning?" Oh, Logan.. I told him no way was I getting up to make him cookies, but this week I would make him some.

OK.. It's been a while.

Logan started T-ball. He loves it. Spends most of the time talking to everyone and telling everyone about how "Bennie" does it. If you haven't ever seen The Sandlot.. my kid thinks he IS Bennie the Jet. He has loved that show since he was 1.

SURPRISE! Lucy had puppies. Please note the array of colors.

One of the puppies was having a hard time, so I got him some puppy formula from the feed store and was feeding him myself. Then he started peeing blood, so I took him in to the vet. Dr. Leena thought maybe mom rolled on him or injured him in some way. She did an ultrasound and didn't see any damage. Unfortunatly he didn't make it. He died around 4 am on Friday morning. Jeremy and I were switching getting up every 2 hours to feed him. Poor baby.

While I was there I asked the Dr. what she thought Lucy 'got into'. She thought either an Austrailian Sheppard or there is a very handsome German Short Hair Pointer the hangs out all the time at our place. She said could be either one.. we should know for sure in a couple weeks. So if anyone is looking for a free puppy... I've got some for you.

Zane is finally rolling over and is sitting up. All in the same week. His personality is really coming out now. He is gonna be a fun kid.

We bought a motorhome. It's awesome. It's the grandma/grandpa style. We got up really early on Friday morning, dropped the kids off at grandma's and started down to Beaverton. We knew we wanted this one the second we got in it. It's beautiful. The couple that owned it are very type A... He's an engineer and she's an accountant. So in other words totally opposite of Jeremy and I, but that also means the thing was immaculate.

So we hustled home and joined the rest of the neighborhood for the annual 'Redneck Campout'. Not that we are Rednecks, but since we all just drive our (I'm so excited I get to be included in this now) motorhomes down to the neighbor's field and we campout there for the weekend, we all think that's kinda Redneck. We started this when the gas prices started going up. Everyone wanted to get together and camp, but it was so expensive. So we just decided to stay home!

At one point I counted, there were 12 RV's, 1 camper, 1 5th wheel, 3 tents and LOTS more people came to just eat and visit.

Playing some Cornhole. It's pretty much like horseshoes.

It was a blast. Logan will carry these memories with him for the rest of his life. He just ran around and played and the older kids told the younger kids crazy/scary stories about ghost and dead bodies. He ran till he passed out from exhaustion.

We had a big easter egg hunt and the Easter Bunny snuck into the motorhome and left the boys' baskets for them. That sneaky little bunny!

I'm so excited.. So we finally made a decision to upgrade our camping home away from home. We sold the camper last night. It was only on craig's list for a half hour and someone already wanted it. He came over last night and paid us our asking price and off he went. Now finding the exact right match for the hard to please wife. There isn't very many areas where I am hard to please, but this is one of them. I need Clean and NO MAUVE. Why are all 1990's motorhomes interior's mauve? YUCK. So anyway, we are now on the look out for a late '90's motorhome.. Can't wait!

SO I broke down and hired a house keeper. I feel really awful/fantastic about this. I feel guilty that I can't keep up yet, excited that finally I'll have some time spend with my kids or organize or take care of my family and house like I really would like to do. So it's good. She started today and I can't wait to go home and see what it's like to walk into a clean house.. the WHOLE thing. Tip to tail. Can't wait.

I'm tired. I'm forgetting things I normally never forget. I think I just have too much going on. So here's my week in general:

Monday's: Drill (horse drill team, no I don't dance)
Tuesday's: Co-ed Soccer
Wednesday's: Nothing for now, Logan starts T-ball next week so for right now it's just laundry, dinner, dishes, baths then more laundry
Thursday's: Drill
Friday's: Nothing - Really this is the only evening I can relax
Saturday's: Next week t-ball games start and
Sunday's: LAUNDRY DAY. I have to devote at LEAST one full day to laundry a week. If I don't.. it's a disaster.

So here's a funny about me being tired: Yesterday I had meetings almost all day talking about our budget reduction proposal that was due at 5:00pm (which BTW we didn't submit until about an hour ago), a Board meeting with a bunch of attorneys and another with my staff about misc things. So on days like this I try to look extra professional. I skip out on the casual pants and hoddies and go for the power suit or something comparable. I'm not sure what happened, but not only did I forget my coffee on the counter for the 2nd day in a row, but I never put make-up on. WHAT? NO MAKE-UP? Ok, I'm not the type to be 'natural'. I'm not 'natural'. I look like crap with no make-up. I was so busy that I never went to the bathroom and didn't take a lunch so I never had an oportunity to look in the mirror until I was stopping by Costco getting gas(after I ran out in the parking lot of my work on my way home and my dad had to come bring me gas, cause I was in such a hurry to get to work that am, I figured I could 'make it' one more time), and thought, self? what the hell do you look like after a day like today? I had to do a double take. WHAT? No make-up? How did I forget to put on make-up?

I know it seems early, but our neighbor Ray, who an actual REAL farmer as opposed to us, the wanna be's, was planting this weekend. I know.... it seems WAY too early, but Ray knows his stuff. Jeremy and I have learned, watch Ray.. do what he does!

So he was out planting potatos and onions and it got my green thumb twitching.. so off to Home Depot we went. I wanted to do this last year with Logan and I'm not sure what happened.. but it never came to pass. We got a couple little starter kits; Catcus's (for Logan), Basil, Chives, MORE Basil, Strawberries, a Watermelon (again for Logan) and a Pumpkin. So I'm gonna post our little plants and watch them grow! I just love it. I can't wait to plant my garden....

Here's some new Zane Pictures. I wanted to take some pictures of the boys together, but it didn't work out. They have these shirts, one says Big Brother, the other Little Brother.. well as soon as I put Logan's on him, he ran in the kitchen got an orange and since he's now figured out how to peel them himself, proceeded to get orange juice all over it. So it was a mess. Oh well. Here's some pictures of Zane in his Little Brother shirt and a little movie.. It's not very interesting.. but I'm his mom, so I think it's cute.

Cardboard Castle

I loved doing this when I was a kid. Whenever my parent's bought something with a cardboard box I could wait to make my fort or my castle. I used to draw flower boxes outside of my cutout windows and make escape tunnels. So this weekend when I was TRYING to clean my house, I ended up with 3 pretty big boxes, so Logan and made him a castle. Unfortunatly all we had was electrical tape to keep it together.. so it kept falling apart, but that's ok.. We would reconfigure it and make a new one everytime. It was fun.

So proud... and yes those are Jeremy's feet.. guess what? He was sitting on the couch not doing anything.. shocking I know.

Zane 4 month update

We went to the Doc this am. Zane's doing great. Growing Growing Growing! He's 15.5 lbs now. He's doing all the things he should be doing, laughing, smiling, making eye contact. He's not quite rolling over yet, could be that fat belly in his way... I know the feeling! He got 4 shots today, and didn't cry until the last one. What a trooper. 75th percentile for height and weight and 95th percentile for head circumference. I think Logan was about the same at this stage.. then he slooooowwwed down and now ranges about 35-50th percentile for height and weight. Anyway, good to hear he's happy & healthy!

2 Sick Kids

Ugh.. I swear there is nothing worse than sick kids. Not just the fact that it makes me and Jeremy grouchy, I know.. who thought, Jeremy could be grouchier that normal... but yes it does happen :o)~

Both boys have been sick since Thursday. Both of my boys have my phlem issues.. poor things.

Logan, I know the drill.... bribe him with candy or a cough drop, (he LOVES cough drops) to take the Mucinex.. let him down it with some OJ and he's good for 4 hours.

Zane.. ugh. Poor kid, he can't breathe, so he can't sleep, can't eat, which as you all know and 2 out of the 3 things a 3 month old knows how to do. He is having no problems pooping, which would be #1 on that list of 3. :o) So I busted out the humidifier, vicks baby rub, saline nose spray, 'snot sucker', and the vicks plug in thing. So after 4 nights of having on average of 2 hours of sleep, and me having to sit straight up holding him while he sleept, FINALLY last night he only had 2 'snot sucking' procedures and we got to lay down, with my head on the pillow, ahhh it was so nice.

Where was Jeremy you ask? Oh, he was on the couch SLEEPING.

Last night Logan and I were sitting on the couch cuddling, watching TV together, when he gets this sad, pouty look on his face. I ask him, "Loggs, what's wrong? Why the sad face?" He says, "I want to marry you but I can't cause you are married to Daddy. Will you break up with him?" Ahh.. just warms my heart. So Jeremy hears this and says, "No WAY! She's mine, you go find your own girlfriend." They fought over me for a while. It's been a long time since I had 2 boys fighting over me. Made me feel fabulous inside.

Here's some pics from out 'adventure' snomobiling. I will NEVER listen to Jeremy again about going snowmobiling in the mountains when a storm is coming in. STUPID STUPID STUPID. Trees were falling left and right, the lodge lost all power, so we couldn't fill up with gas. Jeremy bought 5 gals of gas from the maint. guy at the lodge cause he was desperate. We even thought about calling some friends to come up over the pass with trailers to get us... BUT the passes were all closed. We limped back over the mountain. Normally the trip to Greenwater takes an hour and a half - give or take.. it took us 6 hours to get back the next day. We had to tip snowmobiles over and drain the tanks to try and get everyone back. Jeremy ran out of gas 4 times! I spent an hour say, "Please let us get back. Please let us get back." So scary. Yeah.. and to top it off, this was my FIRST time away from the new baby. I was STRESSED. But we made it. Lesson learned!

This snow is outrageous! I can't believe it! We've been out everyday, messing around in the snow. I just love it. Lucy LOVES the snow too. I'll have to post some more pics... if I can ever remember to take any!

So I head back to the grind on January 5th. I'm dreading this. I really did enjoy my time home this time so much more than last time. But I do have to remind myself, I love my job. It's stressful, but so challenging. I miss the drama. I'm a sucker for it and the first one to try to squash it.. but I do check my e-mail most everyday.. wondering what's been happening and who's been causing trouble while I've been gone... While the cat is away the mice will play.

Anyway, I'm debating on continuing to breast feed when I go back. Does anyone have any suggestions or tips on doing this to just make it easier?

I know.. I'm a bad mom.. But I'm NOT cut out to be a single mom of 2. So I've had some organizational issues lately. Now that I finally have a husband again, I'm getting back on track.

Earlier that day, Jen came over with Brady and Jenna and we made sugar cookies. I think the kids just ate the frosting and Brady paid Logan back and played with his toys for once, but Jen and I had fun!

Here's Logan on Halloween: He was Lane Frost. He slept in this (I took the hat away) for 4 nights and HAD to wear the number on his back for a week. We were at my mom's trick or treating. Then we went over to Aunt Jenny's and trick or treated with Aunt Jenny and all his cousins. Logan only lasted about 3 blocks and he wanted to go back to Jennifer's and eat candy and hang out with Aunt Johanna, who stayed at the house to hand out candy. Which was FINE with me. It was a bit cold out for Zane. He was all bundled up, but it was his first trip in the baby bjorn and wasn't too sure he liked it.

Hunting season is FINALLY over with. THANK GOD. I'm SO sick of dirty man smell and dirty clothes and just dirt.

So our dog, Deekon was hit by a car on Monday night and killed. This is so sad.. He was 11 and getting older, but still so heartbreaking. I swear something bad always happens when Jeremy is gone hunting.

Deekon was the BEST dog ever. He just was a runner. He was mild mannered, calm, sweet, loving and patient. We are going to miss him SO much.

9 days early... He is here. Some say he is the spitting image of Logan when he was born.. but all I see is Jeremy. Logan had this enormous head.. Zane has this little ('dainty' as Lisa called it) head. Jeremy loved being called dainty.

So here's the story: I went to pick Logan up at his friend Brady's house, Brady's mom watches Logan for me on Thurs & Fridays. We were just out chatting in the driveway and I started having light contractions... So on the way home I started keeping track... 3-4 Mins apart.. hmmmm ok. So I get home and tell Jeremy to start timing them, cause I wanted to finish dinner.. I had been CRAVING homemade French Onion soup and I had started it earlier, it takes about 2.5 hours to make.. So I'm finishing that up and I'd just call out.. there's one! So after we eat and clean up he says, well they are 3-4 mins apart.. do you want to go? i didn't. I'm not sure why.. I just didn't think it was 'time'. So we timed them for 4 hours.. they never got worse.. so I felt good about staying home. Then about 7:30 they stopped.

Around 2 I had to pee.. did my thing, then waddled back to bed. JUST as I was falling asleep GUSH! My water broke. So dramatic.. but I threw myself out of my bed and yelled for Jeremy, who was sleeping on the couch... and off we went! My parent's met us at Capital Med Center and they stayed for a little bit, but Logan was really tired and wanted to go home.. so they took him back to their house with the thought of coming back later.

We got there at 2:30-2:45am.. I was admitted at 3:30am and had him at 5:52am. Without drugs.. NOT that I didn't beg, cry scream, beg some more.. but it was happening so fast that I guess there wasn't enough time for the happy lady (as I called her) to get there. I have my doubts.. but only because I was DYING :o)~

At 3:30 I was dilated to a 2 totally effaced. At 4:30 I was dilated to a 6. Still no drugs. Somewhere close to 5:30 when she checked me I was a 9 and the happy lady showed up. She gave me the epidural... and I waited. With Logan it was instantaneous. So I was just so happy.. thinking.. ahh no more pain! Then came the next contraction.... and the next... and the next... K.. it wasn't working. So she's checking my legs asking me.. can you feel this? can you feel this? she gets to the top of my thigh.. and I say, yep.. it's cold.. I feel it. Nice.. so the dang thing STOPS working RIGHT before the spot I need it too. Yes there were plenty of profanities coming from my mouth.

Then they check me again.. I'm at a 10. SON OF A..... If you don't know this about me.. I'm not into pain.. I'm not into "feeling the wonderful experience of child birth" and being one with the earth. I don't want to feel his head coming out of my crouch or see it. NOT MY THING. I want drugs drugs drugs and I want it over. I hated being pregnant both times, but love the end result. SO I'm freaking out that I'm gonna go through the entire thing and "experience the wonderful thing called child birth."

So I'm begging the not so happy lady to try something else.. so she tries something else.. not sure what it was.. but it didn't work either.

The Doctor came in and they are setting everything up for me to start pushing, and I feel this little tiny tingle in my right foot. I think " YES! It's gonna work!" Yeah.. only in the right foot and right side. So I felt everything on the left side.. I guess half the "wonderful experience of child birth" is better than the whole thing.. I guess.

He's here.. I love him. Logan LOVES him. Jeremy loves him. It's great.

So I'm finally at home till January.. Ah... I'm SO happy to be off work. I love my job.. I really do.. It's challenging and fun and exciting.. but very stressful. Anyway, I'm glad to be at home spending time with Logan and getting ready for Zane!

So yesterday I had my 38 week check up. I"m still measuring big... I was measured at 40 cm today. I'm dilated to a 1.5 - 2 and 50% thinned out. Jeremy comes home today, so hopefully anytime after today.. I know.. they come when they want and really I'm ok with that.. I just REALLY REALLY don't want to have another c-section. So the Doc and I talked about it and she'll let me go to November 3rd. Next week, "if you haven't gone into labor" we are going to schedule a c-section for November 3rd. She did seem encouraged that I was that thinned out. I think I was 30% thinned out the day before I went into labor with Logan. But of course who knows!

So I'm having a hard time packing for the hospital.. I know that's weird.. but do any of you have anything special you had to have up there? I didn't hardly take anything last time, and we ended up there for 4 days... so this time I want to be a little more prepared, just in case.

There is the obvious:

Picture outfit for baby

But really.. that's all I have in there right now. Oh and one pair of sweats for Jeremy. All he had last time was one pair of jeans and a t-shirt. My mom had to go to Target and get him socks and a pair of flip flops.. so sad.... Anyway, I'd love to hear of things that made you more comfortable.

My Must Haves

I've just gotta do mine too.. So there are the obvious 'must haves', my husband, son, family, home, job, friends etc... Then there are the daily life saving things that I really would cry if I had to give up... I'm listing those here:

1- Beam Central Vac System.

I don't have a pic of this but I'm SO glad we put this in when we built the house. I love it. It's is the best. Logan even loves to vacuum!

2- I have really really dry skin. I use a combonation of Healthly Skin & Eucerin EVERYDAY.. I goop it on. It's the only combination of anything that has ever worked for me. I used to have to use neosporin on my face or vaseline..

3- Sippy Cups. These are the cheapest BUT the best sippy cups.. I love them. Logan stashes them everywhere, so there are LOTS of times where I find rotten chocolate milk curddled in the cup.... If I spent $5 on the cup.. I'd want to wash it out.. Not these.. I just throw the thing away and don't feel bad at all.. and I don't gag from the rotten milk. Makes me happy.

4- Triple Paste is THE BEST DIAPER RASH CREAM EVER CREATED. I've tried everything. Every product, every suggestion from every aunt, grandma, mom, sister, sister-in-law that I know. This is the only stuff that has ever helped Logan and his poor bottom.

5- You all have talked about cleaning products. Here's what I use. Vinegar. I love it. I wash my floors with it, my counters.. Everything but the bathrooms. It's the best. It cleans my grout in my kitchen floors which are SO dirty with a guy like Jeremy around. YUK!

6- OK.. I live at Costco. I swear I am there every other day. Between milk, pull-ups (NO Logan STILL will not poop in the potty), and dog food, I live at this place.

7- I love to read. It's my escape. I probably read every night for an hour. I love it. I have so many books stacked up.. it drives Jeremy nuts. I LOVE to just go to the book store and walk around checking things out.

8- I am a freak about cereal.. Here are my 2 fav's. Honey Bunches of Oats with Strawberries and Kashi Cinnamon Harvest.

9- Starbucks I love it.

10- Last but not least.. My double headed shower. I don't have a picture, but I had to mention it. I designed my whole bathroom around my shower. It didn't turn out exactly how I wanted it, but it's close. I know.. total waste of water. There is nothing better than having both shower heads going, I'm NEVER cold. Love it.

So because Jeremy pulled some 'special' tag for elk season this year, he was going to be gone for Logan's b-day. We compromised, isn't that was marriage is all about? Smile... So I had a birthday party for Logan on Saturday and Jeremy wasn't allowed to leave until AFTER the party. I love him.. I do. I really do.

Zane Update

So I went to the Dr today and I have to have another ultrasound. She wants to get a better grip on his growth and determine whether 1) she needs to change my due date or 2) and I hate this if he's just big and I have to schedule a c-section.. yuk. I DON'T WANT ANOTHER C-SECTION! So everyone, cross your fingers that he's just ahead of schedule. Other than that, everything is going perfectly. All for now! 48 days (or maybe less) and counting!

Labor day & San Juans

So my brother and his wife have been visiting this week from Alaska. We never do anything 'fun' when they are here, so this trip my mom and I decided to actually plan something.

Saturday we all loaded up and headed down to Packwood for the big flea market. It was so cool... I hate garage sales, but this was cool. The entire town is just booth after booth. You can find anything and everything down there. I didn't buy anything, but Jeremy did and so did Logan. Logan even got to do some bartering with a guy for a toy tractor. So cute. We are thinking this might be an annual event for the fam. Bret and Jorden bought a puppy.. the cutest little thing. She's half Chihuahua and some terrier that I can't remember what the name of now.
They named her Rosie Mae.

Then on Tuesday I took the day off and we headed up to Friday Harbor for a quick trip.. We stayed the night and just relaxed and hung out. We saw a pod of about 15-20 Orca's right at sunset. This was one of those times that I wish I knew more about camera's and had a decent one...
We also went to the Lavender farm there. It was SO beautiful. The whole place buzzed from the bee's. It was great..

This coming Sunday is our wedding anniversary. We've been married 6 years. I can't believe it.. It feels like 50! HA! No really, I wouldn't have it any other way. I really did marry my best friend. We joke alot and bicker alot (our nick name is the Bickerson's for a reason) but really we are a perfect match. Here are some memories from our wedding:

I'm Lazy.. sorry.. I have been meaning to update my blog for a month now.. Still haven't done it yet. I have some pics from haying (which is what we did for the majority of July), and some random's. I'll work on that whole lazy thing.... someday :o)

So for a baby update.. 28 weeks yesterday.. 12 to go! This pregnancy is SO much better than last time. I can't even explain it. I still am not to the point of saying, "Oh being pregnant is the best thing ever," I doubt I'll ever say that, but at least I'm not retaining 40 lbs of water and have feet bigger than my husbands this time. Ugh. It was horrible. I'm just pluggin along, trying so hard not to let my job stress me out too much. It's hard, but I've been doing this for 9 years now, so I think I can figure it out.

Logan... Nothing new with him really. His birthday is coming up.. 9/11. So I've got the party planning bug going on. We are gonna break down and get him a quad this year. Jeremy just can't wait, neither can I acutally. :o) Still not potty trained. I did take some advice (which I'm ALWAYS looking for) from my sister in law, and told him this am, that since he's gonna be 3, he can't poop in his pants anymore. He's 3, so he's not a baby and baby's poop in thier pants. So we'll see. It work for one of her kids. I've tried everything else I've been told/read about.

Jeremy... He's getting ready for Archery Elk Season that starts in Sept. My dining room looks like a war zone.. camo/arrow's and everything else a guy "needs" to hunt. He hasn't started to drive me nuts yet.. but I'm sure it's coming. Usually about 2 weeks before a big hunting trip I start wanting to kill him. This is new this year, since he drew a special tag for elk.

Me.... Well, I'm just trying to stay calm. Work is so busy and so stressful and I've learned my lesson over and over not to get too stressed out.. my body just can't handle it. So my flowers, walking, my family and making time for me has been really important the last few months. I'm on the downward part of the mountain of projects I have before maternity leave, unfortunatly you've all read about all the Thurston County Budget woes.. well, that's what I do friends.. I manage our dept. budget, so with all the things our dept has been doing I haven't had any time for budget. So for the next month I will be jumping through all the hoops and filling out all the forms and blah blah blah for a Sept 19 deadline. Then I have a month to train people how to be me for 3 months. Should be a good time. Now if I could only drink....

Typical 4th of July of for us. I did the parade thing, rode the quad this year instead of the horse. Just picturing me trying to get up on Mack is hilarious. Then met up with Kami (neighbor) and headed out to Eatonville, where the rest of the pack was. We had a really good time. Here are some pict's... Since SOME of you have been on me for not updating my blog.. here's an update on us. I put in for a re-class at work back in February of 2007. IT JUST WENT THROUGH. I hate our Human Resources Dept. Then they jacked me on it. So I have another meeting with them on Thursday to discuss their incompetence. Jeremy just applied for the Lead position at work and got it.. so he just got a promotion. I'm really stressed out with work and need to knock it off. Too much stuff to do.. too many projects going on at once. I'll work it out.. it's just hard being pregnant and dealing with Budget issues, new database system, office move, new filing/archiving projects (yeah we have over 1 million documents that need to be scanned and stored in our new filing computer system.. and I get to figure out how that's gonna be done and organized) and then supervising 5 women who don't get along, and just my normal daily jobs. Ugh. Logan isn't potty trained yet. We are trying, but not forcing the issue. Bribary is the only thing that works... or leaving him naked. But I'll only do that if he's outside. I'm not ok with him peeing on my clean clothes I just folded in the laundry basket (yes he did that the other day).

So anyway, I really enjoy my weekends! Here are some pics from last weekend.

So we had our ultra sound yesterday. We have a BIG baby boy.. he's a tad big for how far along I am and she said it's possilbe the Doctor might change my due date a tad at my next appt, which is next Tuesday. He weigh's approx. 11 1/2 oz right now and all his measurements put him at 19.5 weeks and at in the 89th percentile for growth. So we'll see!

Our Alaskan Adventures

So we spent last week up in Juneau, Alaska with my family, including my brother and his new wife.. my new sister-in-law, Jorden. It was so much fun! We really had a great time.. I'm bombarding you all with pictures, but it was the most beautiful weather.. who could resist!

So the excitement in our house this week has been the Bear. Jeremy shot a big black bear on Friday. This is one of his biggest accomplishments, as a hunter. I'm trying to be the understanding wife.. really.

But the thing is HUGE! We did compromise and once the rug is done it will be mounted on the wall in our living room.. instead of on the floor or on our bed.. Sick. I am happy for him.. just because I know how excited he is about this..

Logan thought it was the coolest thing ever. All those 2 talk about now is the Bear. He just thinks his dad is the coolest guy ever. Ok.. All for now!

So we've been anxiously waiting for our baby calf to be born. Well when Jeremy was gone last week our cow had her baby, but I didn't know. We have no idea what happened, but she died. So sad. I guess it's silly to be upset over a cow, but I am. :o( Maybe next year?

So anticipating the forcasted 65 degree weather on Saturday, we decided to go to the beach. It was the most beautiful day I've ever experienced at a beach in Washington! I think it ended up around the 70's in Westport, which is where we went.

So we packed up the dogs

and set out around 9:30.

We fixed up the kite and tried flying that around.... let's just say, we are not professional kite flyers.. but it was fun!

OK.. Mom's turn

It doesn't look like it from the FABULOUS pictures I forced Jeremy to take.. but I did way better than he did.

Jeremy and Logan wondered around looking for sanddollars and watched the guys surf fishing.

I followed my stupid dog around, since she kept pooping.. I swear she pooped like 10 times... Logan and I played by the surf. At this time we were still trying NOT to get wet. He's so funny.. He'd run so fast trying to get away.. then keep on running.

Now, you can't take a 2.5 year old to the beach on a sunny day and NOT get wet. It's just impossible. But he had a blast. It was a slow progression from sweatshirt, jeans and boots to just a t-shirt.

OH no! My butt cracked out!

He was searching for sand shrimp and at the same time having a mud/sand throwing contest with his dad.. Guess who won?

I have a feeling I'll be posting lots of these little "funnies". My kid is just a charactor.. So Saturday we went out to dinner to Farelli's. As soon as we walk in, Logan runs and does a sliding stop on his knee's and yells, "WOO HOO!" The whole place stops and starts laughing at him. Jeremy and I of course are DYING. I swear my face was BRIGHT red. Oh well it's funny and that's just Logan.. Here I am! Life of the party.

We sit down and order and are just hanging out enjoying each other's company... and Logan notices a little girl in the booth behind us. So he starts up again. He's chit chatting and telling her stories.. talking about baseballs and whatnot.. Then he goes, "Hey girl, I have a hot tub at my house." He said it like, "Hey come on over to my house.. I have a hot tub." I thought I would die.. I was crying from laughing so hard. Of course this just encourages him so when the cute little waitress comes over, he gives her the same line. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree I suppose....

So I just have to share this... Logan is just in the beginning stages really of potty training.. really he has not much desire in going in the potty except to get candy or a treat from Ammy... Anyway, yesterday at his grandma's (Ammy) she had him in his big boy boxer breifs.. which I have to say are the cutest damn things I've every seen, and he was outside with his grandpa. He came running up to the house and knocked on the door yelling, "AMMY AMMY HELP!" So my mom opened the door and saw that he had wet his pants. She asked him what was wrong and why he wet his pants. He said, "Ammy I pee'd my pants, cause the GIANT ANTS were chasing me!" I mean what's a kid to do when giant ants are chasing him... Oh I love that kid.

Where to start? The begining?

So here's a bit of background.... Jeremy and I bit the bullet and made it legal on August 31, 2002. Almost immediately we started the planning process on construction of our home. We were the general contractors, and let me tell you it was a lot of work. It is so true what "they" say, if you can build together you can do anything together. Our poor neighbors and my Uncle Pat, who were out there everyday with us heard some classic Cole fights during that period of time. My Uncle still laughs at us. I believe one time I threw a shovel at Jeremy all the way across the yard. FUN!

So I guess we were bored after all the excitement, so we decided to try to get pregnant. It's almost like we've had this check list... get married - Check! Build a house - Check! Have baby - Check!

Logan Keith Cole was born on September 11, 2005 at 6:48am. He is the best thing to ever happen to us. He is a mini Jeremy. Has Jeremy's personality and ornery attitude.

We took some time to get used to our new life as responsible adults.. it was a shocker that's for sure! We spent some time working at the farm, had a baby horse, had some puppies, bought some cows, built alot of fence, and fixed our yard...

Now we are excited for our 2nd baby.. this one should arrive sometime between Deer and Elk Season... I'm due October 26th. So cross your fingers that this one is one time as well, or Jeremy might actually have to miss part of Elk Camp!
